What makes this tour unique

Explore three of our most famous castles – Conwy, Dolbadarn, and Caernarfon on this day tour of Snowdonia. You’ll also visit the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, and the National Slate Museum and through the day learn much of Wales’s myths and legends! This tour is the perfect combination of history, heritage, natural beauty, and a whole lot of fun!

  • Start at the jewel of welsh seaside resorts and see the beautiful bay of Llandudno and its Victorian heritage of architecture

  • Drive the Great Orme Road, the longest of its kind in the UK, in search of the world famous Kashmiri Goats, showcasing spectacular cliffs, wildlife, and elevated views out to the Irish Sea and Anglesey.

  • Amble the ancient and medieval castle town of Conwy to view the castle’s domineering and towering walls, whose magnificent towers stand tall over the beautiful estuary. And walk the worlds first ever built suspension bridge built in 1819.

  • Marvel at this little gem set upon the bank of the estuary and built into the castle walls is Great Britain’s smallest house. With arms outstretched, you can touch either side.

  • Take the coastal road of castles along the beautiful north wales coastline before we head into the National Park.
  • Visit the Welsh Dragon of Bethesda which guards and overlooks Snowdonia, famously sculpted by North Wales sculptor who now works for the“Game Of Thrones Series” (this stop may sometimes be unavailable due to limited parking at side of road location).
  • Drive the roman road of the Nant Ffrancon pass which was carved out during the last ice age leaving a stunning U-Shaped valley and wonderful photo opportunities.
  • Stop next to Llyn(Lake) Ogwen again for spectacular views and hear the tales of an ancient find in this area which caused quite a stir.
  • Unrivalled awe-inspiring Snowdonia National Park and its spectacular rugged landscaped driving routes. Stop at viewpoints, witnessing great lakes, valleys, rivers and views of Y Wyddfa (Snowdon) Summit and surrounding foothills at the wonderful 360 degree view of Snowdonia Viewpoint. One of Wales’s finest.
  • Breath-taking Llanberis and Padarn Park National Slate Museum is set within some of the most spectacular scenery in North Wales . Slate industry was one of the main economic motors of Wales. Step back in time and immerse yourself in a variety of talks and demonstrations to give you a real insight into the hardships of past quarry life.
  • Quest to spectacular setting of Dolbadarn Castle ruins through forest to the gateway of Eryri (Snowdonia) to learn about its fascinating past.
  • Astound yourself by Caernarfon and its immense castle fortress. Oozing brute strength on the shores of the captivating Menai. Surely the most impressive of Wales’s castles, and worthy of its World Heritage status.
  • Enjoy the return scenic drive along the North Wales coast hugging the coastline and seeing its lovely beaches and mountainous shores.
